Overnight Oatmeal

This is a delicious breakfast I discovered a few months ago. There are so many possibilities to combine it after you figured out how to do the basic so it never does get boring.

It is perfectly suitable for everyone who has to leave the house early in the morning and doesn’t have time to eat his breakfast at home.

For me breakfast is the most important meal of the day so I try to never skip it.

This is a very simple and basic recipe of soaked oatmeal with chia seeds and fruits.

For the oatmeal you need:

1/3 cup rolled oats
1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
1/4 cup Greek yogurt or normal yogurt
1/3 cup almond milk (soya or daily milk work too

You start with your soaked chia seeds on the bottom of your mason jar or plastic container. Then you put the rolled oats, the milk, and the yoghurt on top.

This is the basic of your oatmeal. Now you can top your oatmeal with any fruit and cereals you like. So here is where you can individualize at libitum.

For my topping you need:

1 hand of raspberries
1 hand of blueberries
2 tbs honey
1 hand of “honeybee” cereals

What I did was, I took one hand of blueberries and one hand of raspberries each and put them towards my oatmeal.

Afterwards I drizzled two tea spoons honey on the berries to give my breakfast a nice touch of sweetness.

And because of I felt like something crunchy I filled the rest of my mason jar with “honeybee” cereals.
Leave the oatmeal in the fridge over night to let all the ingredients spread their taste.

Before you eat your breakfast at home, in the tube, in school or your office, make sure to give it a good shake to combine everything completely.

If you enjoyed this oatmeal recipe let me know and I’ll give you a few more inspirations how to top your oatmeal.

Love,

Lulu
